Handbook on Migrants’ Integration – A Digital Perspective from (im)migration Experts
In October 2021 six projects – MIICT, REBUILD, NADINE, MICADO, easyRights, and WELCOME – all funded under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, organized a Migration Policy Roundtable to discuss current challenges facing (im)migration and integration in Europe.
To help support other public administrations looking to harness the power of digital to better support (im)migration, the cluster created a joint handbook on migrant integration to provide a service design and supply perspective. The handbook reflects on two themes common to all the six projects:
- Co-creation, participatory design, and multi-stakeholder collaboration
- Digital tools and novel services for supporting integration
Its contents are the result of the discussion among Roundtable participants, which was articulated in two thematic sessions: the first taking stock of the cocreational dimension to frame the wider issue of service co-design for social integration; the second reflecting on the sustainability conditions of newly developed ICT or AI enabled tools and services.
